Barryon

Barryon is a member of Hardon family. It is a sub-atomic particle made up of three quarks. Just like messon, Barryon is also the active particles in Hardon family. It is a quark based particles.

The word barryon came from a Greek word.  Barryon means heavy.  When the particles are named then most of the elementary particles were less mass than barryon.

There have an apparent difference between barryon and lepton.  Barryon participates in strong interaction because it is quark based particles.  But,  lepton do not participate in strong interaction, because it is not quark based particles.
